LazSoc's Official Hiring Policy
LazSoc, as well as all of our clubs and associations follow all current equal opportunity hiring best practices. We are committed to providing reasonable accommodations and will work with you to meet your needs. If you are a person with a disability and require assistance during the application process, please don’t hesitate to reach out (we genuinely mean this). We celebrate our inclusive work environment and welcome members of all backgrounds and perspectives.
LazSoc, nor do any of our clubs or associations will consider your race, colour, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender perception or identity, national origin, age, marital status, protected veteran status, or disability status in any of our hiring practices. When possible, we actively redact any personal identifiers that might create bias from hiring teams including but not limited to, name, program, hometown, photos (if provided) or gender.
Hiring practices by non-LazSoc teams
As a mandatory element of all club president onboarding, LazSoc requires that they conduct EDI and hiring training facilitated by Wilfrid Laurier Univerisity. In addition to this, LazSoc actively provides ongoing hiring support lead by the Vice President of Clubs.
